Hello!

Simone is a licensed clinical mental health counselor in the state of Vermont and a doctorate candidate. They obtained their BA in Psychology from the University of Rochester and earned their MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Southern New Hampshire University, and are currently working towards a PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision. Simone has worked in a variety of positions in community mental health between 2013 and 2021 in the states of Vermont and New York. Before joining Dragon’s Roost Therapy, Simone ran their own solo practice, Hero’s Journey Counseling LLC, that primarily catered to the queer neurodivergent community with a special focus on supporting Autistic and ADHD clients. They continue to offer supervision and consultation services. As a geek therapist, their passions include tabletop RPGs, anime, memes, video games, and consuming various forms of media in pop culture. Simone has written previously for Geek Therapeutics in the Psychology of Pokémon and the Psychology of My Hero Academia. They also consulted on the D&D 5e supplement Limitless Heroics, which focused on creating game mechanics that allowed players to roleplay disabled characters that better represent the lived experience of disabled folks.
